Summary: Grammy 2010 Nominations
Comment: This is a fabulous CD - I had already purchased a number of the songs as singles, but it's so wonderful to put on the CD and listen to the best of the year in review. I wasn't sure buying this CD was a good idea, but no regrets here.

Summary: Something For Everyone....me, my 15 & 23yr old kids & even my 68yr old father!
Comment: There is something on this CD that everyone will like. I love most of the songs, my 15yr old son has his favorites, my 23yr old daughter tried to walk out of the house with it and when I had it playing in my car, my 68yr old father was bouncing his head around to the beat....something I've never seen him do!
I have bought these CD's each year they came out and this is really good!

Summary: No Wonder The Music Industry Is Dying...
Comment: Just about every one of these songs epitomizes exactly what is wrong with the music industry...It lacks real musical talent! Most of these songs are completely soulless, with the artists relying on gimmicks, predictability and image (and image ALONE with absolutely no substance) to sell to what is a dominant teeny-bopper audience who doesn't know any better. It's truly sad what the Grammy's have been diminished to over the years. I only wish the Grammy's could once again be like what they were in year's past when real artists with actual talent could compete with trash like what's on this compilation, such as when Christopher Cross swept the 5 major awards in 1981, or when Smashing Pumpkins won best video in the mid-90's. I'm only 25, and so it's not like I'm some old man looking back at my youth. Let's face the facts... music today is awful I'm not sure there is an end in sight to this downward spiral.
It figures that the one truly talented band that was nominated for a Grammy this year, that being Alice In Chains, isn't even included on this garbage collection. In a way, though, I'm glad! They shouldn't be intermingled with these other candy-coated groups/artists and further subjected to mediocrity.
